Preschool years are one of the greatest times of discovery, learning and exploration for young children. They are discovering their feelings, learning life-long social skills and expanding their intellectual horizons. Petra's Playschool will provide a safe, secure, loving, stimulating and supportive environment where your child can develop in all these ways.
Our role as teachers is to enrich the lives of your children by asking open-ended questions that stimulate the cognitive thought process, to provide positive modeling behavior and to enhance and extend imaginative play. By providing a developmentally appropriate curriculum for cognitive, emotional, physical, cultural and social growth through a balance of teacher-directed and child-directed activities, your children will expand their awareness, both of themselves and the world around them.
At Petra's Playschool we aim to give children knowledge, foster learned independence, teach them responsibility and problem solving skills which will benefit them throughout their lives. Our goal as your children's teacher is to work with the parents as a team and to give your children a stimulating and educationally challenging program where they will grow in a supportive atmosphere to be the best they can be.
